Remote Control

WinClaw supports remote control, allowing you to operate your computer from your phone, tablet, or any browser with voice input support. No matter where you are, you can have your AI assistant complete tasks for you.

Note: Accounts on the Global site (winclaw.me) and the China site (winclaw.cn) are separate. Please register on the site that matches your region.

How It Works

Remote control works through the WinClaw cloud service:

1. Your computer runs the WinClaw client and connects to the cloud service
2. You access the Console from your phone or other device via browser
3. Select your computer in the Console and send text or voice commands
4. The AI assistant executes tasks on your computer

Step 1: Register and Log in to the Console

Open your browser and navigate to the WinClaw website (currently please visit the Global site, the China site is still under construction):

• Global: winclaw.me
• China: winclaw.cn

Click the "Console" button in the top-right corner to enter the management dashboard.

If you don't have an account yet, please register and sign in first. After logging in, you'll see the Console page.

The Console displays:

• Account Info: Account information (email, registration date)
• Change Password: Password management
• Computer Control Panel: List of connected computers

Step 2: Create an API Key

To connect your computer to the cloud service, you need to create an API Key.

In the Console, go to the API Keys management page and click the "Create Key" button in the top-right corner to generate a new API Key.

After creation, click the "Copy" button to copy the API Key to your clipboard (starts with ak_) — you'll need to paste it into the client next.

Tip: Keep your API Key safe and do not share it with others. If a key is compromised, you can revoke it and create a new one at any time from the Console.

Step 3: Configure Remote Control in the Client

Open AI PC Manager and click the "Control Panel" icon in the left sidebar to enter the Control Panel page.

Follow these steps to complete the configuration:

1. Enter API Key: Paste the API Key you copied in Step 2 into the "API Key" input field
2. Set Computer Name: Enter a custom name in the "Computer Name" field to identify this computer in the Console
3. Enable the toggle: Switch the "Enable" toggle to the on position
4. Save configuration: Click the "Save Config" button at the bottom

Configuration fields:

Field	Description
Machine ID	Unique identifier for the computer (auto-generated)
Server URL	Cloud service address, https://winclaw.me for Global users, https://winclaw.cn for China users
API Key	API Key obtained from the Console
Computer Name	Custom name for the computer
Enabled	Whether remote control is enabled
Poll Interval	Polling interval (seconds)
Idle Backoff	Idle backoff time (seconds)

After starting, the Status section shows connection status:

• Status: Running means it's active
• Tasks Completed: Number of completed tasks
• Last Register: Last registration time
• Last Poll: Last polling time

Step 4: View Connected Computers in the Console

Return to the Console page. In the Computer Control Panel section, you can see connected computers:

Each computer shows:

• Computer name (e.g., william1)
• Online status (green dot means online)
• Machine ID
• Last online time

Click Enter Chat to enter the chat interface.

Step 5: Send Voice or Text Commands

In the chat interface, you can interact with the AI assistant in three ways:

• Chat: Text chat
• Scheduled Tasks: Scheduled tasks
• Voice Chat: Voice chat

Using Voice Commands

1. Switch to the Voice Chat tab
2. Press and hold the microphone button at the bottom
3. Speak your command (e.g., "Clean up my disk space")
4. Release the button, and the AI assistant will execute the task on your computer

• Remote computer access while away: Use your phone to have your computer download files or organize documents
• Control from bed with your phone: Use voice commands to have AI search for information without getting up
• Multi-device collaboration: Research on your tablet while having AI process Excel on your computer
• Hands-free operation: Use voice to have AI execute tasks while doing housework

FAQ

What if my computer shows offline?

1. Check if the WinClaw client is running
2. Check if Remote Control is enabled and Start was clicked
3. Check if the network connection is working
4. Click Refresh in the client to update the status

Can't connect after configuring API Key?

1. Confirm the API Key was copied completely (starts with ak_)
2. Confirm the Server URL is correct (https://winclaw.me for Global, https://winclaw.cn for China)
3. Confirm the server address matches the site where your account is registered
4. Check if a firewall is blocking the connection

Voice recognition not accurate?

Voice recognition depends on network and microphone quality. Suggestions:

• Use in a quiet environment
• Speak clearly at a moderate pace
• Ensure microphone permissions are enabled on your phone
